We are living in an incredibly special time in history! Much pain and suffering is all around us, but also an Ocean of Grace has been given us, a Bridge to Heaven!
Since June 24, 1981, the Blessed Virgin Mary has been reported to visit daily with several young adults in Herzegovina, bringing messages on how to achieve peace in our hearts, homes, and the world.
In 1986, Pope John Paul II said, “Let the people go to Medjugorje if they convert, pray, confess, do penance, and fast.” Then on February 24, 1990 Pope Saint John Paul II said “Medjugorje is the spiritual center of the world!” Millions of laity and clergy have visited and returned home spiritually renewed. You, too, are invited!
On May 12, 2019 Pope Francis decided to authorize pilgrimages to Medjugorje which can now be officially organized by dioceses and parishes and will no longer take place only in a private capacity. The announcement was made during mass at the parish shrine by the Apostolic Nuncio Luigi Pezzuto in Medjugorje and Archbishop Henryk Hoser, the Holy See’s Special Apostolic Visitator.
In the documents of Vatican ll, we read, “Mary advanced on Her Pilgrimage of faith and faithfully persevered in Her union with Her Son unto the Cross”. (Lumen Gentium) This sentence makes us realize that Mary, like ourselves, walked in faith. She is, as Pope John Paul ll describes Her, a Pilgrim of love. Mary shows us, by Her example, what it means to be pilgrim and stranger on this earth, ever longing for the final destination of our Pilgrimage: The New and Eternal Jerusalem.
Let us ask Mary, Our Blessed Mother and Our Lady of Medjugorje, to be Our Guide! May the Lord bless you. Let us put our hand in Her Hands and walk in Her Footsteps on Holy Ground in Medjugorje.
As Her little children, we so need Her Love and Embrace and Place all our needs and those dear to us in Her Immaculate Heart. And we will become a family ever united to Jesus through Mary, Queen of Peace and Mother of all God’s children.

B/D. Today you will begin to experience the great love and peace of Our Lady’s presence, which is truly Medjugorje. Each morning at 10:00 AM there is Holy Mass in English celebrated at St. James Church. Evening Celebration begins at 5:00 PM gathering at St. James Church for prayer of the Holy Rosary in preparation for Our Lady’s coming. Our Lady comes everyday at exactly 5:40 PM. SHE gives a Special Blessing to all present and blesses all religious articles. Prayer of the Rosary continues. Our Lady continues to pray along with the pilgrims and stays for Holy Mass, which begins at 6:00 PM. Mass is dedicated to the pilgrims and all of their intentions and for peace in the world! Following the Mass the service continues with prayer of thanksgiving and the blessing of religious articles and the sick by a priest.
You will have the opportunity to climb Apparition Hill and Cross Mountain. You may make daily visits to the chapel for Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament. There will be time to rest and relax in the peace of Medjugorje. Medjugorje is a River of Grace and you will have the opportunity to drink of that River. You will become refreshed and be a child again in your Mother’s arms, to give all your cares and worries to Her, and return home to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those fellow pilgrims on your journey of life.
